SeaWorld Abu Dhabi will house the largest aquarium on the planet when the ribbon to the newest Yas Island attraction is cut next year. The marine-life park is on track for completion in 2022, and once operational will hold 25 million litres of water and house more than 68,000 marine animals, including sharks, schools of fish, manta rays and sea turtles, with the highlight being the aquarium’s “Endless Vista,” a 65-foot tall vertical window showcasing aquatic scenes spanning several levels. Meanwhile, the adjoining Yas SeaWorld Research and Rescue Center will act as an education hub, focusing on indigenous Gulf and marine life ecosystems. It will be the first dedicated marine research, rescue, rehabilitation and return complex of its kind in the UAE, and will undoubtedly prove a hit with nature-loving kiddos.
