Dubai has opened the world's deepest pool allowing divers to explore an underwater metropolis. Deep Dive Dubai allows swimmers to swim through a detailed lost Atlantis complete with graffiti and a large portrait of Marilyn Monroe hanging on the wall. Divers as young as 10-years-old can swim through a sunken flat, library and an abandoned arcade with a vintage Pac-Man machine, table football and pool table. In addition, there is also an underwater film studio and a nearby media editing room. With a staggering depth of 60 meters (196 feet), the pool has stolen the record from Poland's Deepspot, which has a depth of over 45 meters. The pool is filled with 14 million litres of fresh water - the volume of six Olympic-sized swimming pools - and is at least four times bigger than any other diving pool in the world. Water temperature is maintained at 30 degrees Celsius, suitable for wearing a thin wetsuit or a swimming costume. Meanwhile, those wishing to stay on dry land can view the action through large windows and TV screens in the on-site restaurant.
