The city has just been crowned the most Instagrammable destination in the world for the countdown to midnight. That’s right, Dubai has beaten out some iconic spots around the globe, including Sydney and London for a New Year’s snap. It’s no real surprise, because no matter where you are in Dubai on NYE, you’re going to be entertained. Given the title by long-haul travel specialists Travelbag, the team analysed hashtag data for over 100 cities worldwide to determine the top locations to welcome in 2025. Coming in at number one, Dubai had over 10,000 hashtags for NYE, while runner up, New York, only held 5,676. In third place was Paris with 5,070 while London was fourth with 4,499. The first to ring in the New Year, Sydney was in sixth place with 1,172 hashtags.
