Ahoy, adventure-seekers! Forget your typical museum stroll, because a huge treasure hunt is going to make your next family outing a huge hit. Grab your treasure maps – or, in this case smartphones – and get the whole brood over to The Louvre Abu Dhabi for the new digital quest The Secrets of the Dome Stars. Uncovering secrets around the attraction, little explorers will be hunting for hidden stars as they make their way around. Aimed at families with kids aged 6 to 12, the event blends storytelling and scavenger hunting in equal measure. Sign us up! The game, which runs from July onwards, can only be played in the Louvre’s permanent galleries, where you’ll have to quickly scan a QR code or click a link, and you’re off for 45-60 minutes of celestial madness. Kiddos will get to explore the museum, solve puzzles, and engage with artworks as they help restore the Dome’s energy by finding hidden stars. Pretty cool, huh? Additionally, the event promises to boost observation skills and promote learning through play. Which is always a bonus. Before the big launch, the Louvre team invited local families to test the game. Nineteen families, including 34 kids, dove into the adventure and helped fine-tune the experience, so it’s bound to be a fan favourite. To help you along on your journey, a friendly Sand Fox guide, named Volpi, will lead along your mission, so you won’t get stuck. Plus, the game is available in Arabic, English, and French, so everyone can join in the excitement. But the real cherry on top? It’s all free! Kids under 18 even get free entry into the museum.
