The government in Punjab, Pakistan, has announced twill establish two new amusement parks in Lahore. Each park will feature an assortment of rides, shows and themed areas, with hopes that they will attract millions of visitors each year. MM News reports that the parks will be a joint venture between the government and the private sector and will be targeted primarily at families. The two installations will be located in Greater Iqbal Park and Jilani park, with construction set to begin later this year. It is hoped that the venture will bring in more money for the Parks and Horticulture Authority, with the overall authority making a profit of RS2.5bn (US$29.8m) in the last financial year.
