MIDDLE EAST'S FINEST HONOURED

Last week saw the Middle East celebrate its best and brightest as the sixth edition of the MENALAC Awards took place. Hosted by the region’s entertainment and amusement trade body, it took place at the Address Skyview Hotel in downtown Dubai on March 6. The event was a sell-out, with hundreds gathering to celebrate the successes of the industry over the past 12 months. Sheika Monira Alsabah, CEO and founder of Kuwait’s Play Enterprises, was chosen to join the MENALAC Hall of Fame, while SeaWorld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, was named Best Amusement or Theme Park 2024. Elsewhere, AYA Universe of Wafi City Mall, Dubai, was named Best FEC 2024, with Topgolf Dubai picking up Best Active Entertainment Facility 2024. Hyperdeck VR was named Best New Product for FECs 2024 in the Arcade, VR, Redemption and Novelty Category, while Brogent Technologies’ Esports product took the crown in the Ride and Attraction category.
