BAHRAIN TO LAUNCH MENA REGION’S FIRST SURF PARK IN 2026

Bahrain’s real estate investment company Edamah has announced the first surf park for the Middle East and North Africa, due to open in 2026. The attraction, called ‘Bahrain Surf Park – Club Hawaii Experience‘, is a partnership between Edamah, the real estate arm of Bahrain’s sovereign wealth fund, and GFH Financial Group. It is part of Bahrain’s Bilaj Al Jazayer mixed-use development, a 1.3 million-square-metre project comprising luxury hotels, residences, and retail and F&B areas. HE Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, CEO of Mumtalakat and chairman of Edamah, said the park “will be transformational for the tourism and recreation sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain”.
