Success in the MENA leisure industry will be “driven by data,” says MENALAC ahead of the release of its second MENA Leisure Report. Set to release in April 2025, the upcoming report promises to be a source of knowledge for the industry. Prakash Vivekanand, founding member and former board member of MENALAC, spearheaded the first edition of the report and has been tasked with leading the second edition. He said: “It is my privilege and honour to drive a knowledge-centric initiative like the MENA Leisure Report. Today, data drives decisions, and with the upcoming report we are keen to support leisure and entertainment businesses to stay on the path of innovation and profitability. “With the support of the industry our aim will be to produce a collector’s publication that will house relevant data required for the development and success of our industry.” The UAE aims to welcome 30 million hotel guests as part of its Tourism Strategy 2031, which also includes AED100bn (US$27bn) to diversify the country’s current entertainment offering.
